Day 28 of 30 — Public Thoughts
For example, a lot of the ideas in this book started out as tweets, which then became blog posts, which then became book chapters. Small things, over time, can get big.
— Austin Kleon (Show Your Work pg. 64)
Tweets to blogs to book chapters.
Huh sounds familiar…
Kinda like what Alex Hormozi talks about.
He uses his twitter (or should I say X now?) as a public notes file of his thoughts…
The tweets that work well, he’ll turn into reels…
The reels turn into podcasts and so on.
Two huge benefits here…
- Ideas start small
- Ideas are quickly validated
So hearing this from two sources now (that I can remember) speaks volumes.
As of right now, I have a way to capture and start developing ideas…
Capture with an Apple Note titled Idea Catcher,
Start developing in Ulysses/posting here.
But I’m missing a quick and easy way to validate.
Which is a mistake I made previously with:
- The podcast - both large outputs and no validation
- IG/TikTok - didn’t approach it in a way I sustainably validated ideas. The content I made took too much time for the result of validating an initial idea.
So what I need…
Is a way to still capture and start developing… but in a way I can quickly post ideas to receive feedback and be validated for larger, more in-depth pieces of content.
How… is another question…
Twitter? IG stories? I could make rawer (more raw?) TikTok’s or YouTube videos?
(cough cough what I’m testing with PR30 right now.)
Not sure exactly how this will work yet, but the priority is simplicity…
Make it sustainable way of documenting the process…
And post it.
To build momentum.
To begin the process of _exponential growth.
